Tennis coaches and enthusiasts – in recreational doubles play there’s a time to lob and a time NOT to lob. If your opponents are up at net and hit a short ball mid-court, drawing you forward, DO NOT LOB. The reward is not worth the risk. Hitting a lob from the middle of court only gives you half a court to hit to making this shot very low percentage. If you don’t hit a perfect shot, you risk getting nailed by the net person.

When coming forward think offensive! Hitting low up the middle puts you and your partner in the driver’s seat!
