When forced to play one up, one back formation in doubles, make sure you know how to handle each position of the court. Although this is probably my least favorite formation to teach, it is imperative to empower all my students with all possible tactics.
When playing net, make sure you stay in motion and “fake it to you make it” (love that saying!) This will distract your opponents and keep you involved in the point. On the baseline, make sure you are patient and most obviously, keep the ball away from the net player.
Remember you don’t have to be a pro to train like a pro!
