Super Tiebreakers Super Important

In recent years the USTA and other organizations eliminated the third set and added the super tiebreaker. The super tiebreaker now becomes a substitution for a 3rd set and creates a setting of pressured filled points. Being mentally strong will play a large role in the success of your tiebreaker. Here are a few tips to help you keep an edge on your opponents.

1) Balance your risk and reward shots. Keep a smart shot selection while keeping your aggressive shots.
2) Keep your routine. This helps you stay in your comfort zone under pressure.
3) Don’t go for big serves. Low percentage serves add pressure to a 2nd serve. Double faults is a tiebreak killer!
4) Practice Super tiebreakers. The more you practice tiebreakers, the more comfortable you will be under the pressure
