Shelter In Place #6: The “Touchy-Feely” Drop Shot

 

Coaches and Tennis Enthusiasts:

In an effort to keeps our minds and bodies creative direct from our backyards take a look at a fun 3 minute clip to help develop touch, feel and ultimately a drop shot.

You’ve heard the expression “soft hands” (keep it clean) or “hands like a brick”…..well soft hands is definitely the goal! The ability to handle quick volley’s, drop shots, spin control and specialty shots all derive from soft hands.

Although “soft hands” are God given, just like other athletic attributes, with a little practice everyone can benefit and have that touchy feely soft hand feel!

Shelter in Place Lesson #6: “Touch and Feel”

1. Head and racquet control with ball bouncing
a) Forehand
b) Backhand
c) Flip Flop

2. Feel bounce shot to big target
a) Forehand
b) Backhand
c) Flip Flop

3. Feel bounce shot to small targets
4. Cardio touch over boundary
