Did you know that just 2 minutes of 4 simple muscle activation warm up exercises can prevent you from rupturing your achilles tendon? In general, recreational tennis players don’t warm up properly and are deconditioned… even if they play tennis everyday! As a coach I witness the POPPING sound a.k.a. a gunshot to the back of the calf to many of my players or their opponents. This is a rupture of the achilles, and it will keep you off the courts for many months!
