Hey everyone!
When competing at your level or higher, you must distinguish yourself from your opponents. This is a mental mindset that you should commit to in order to stay one step ahead of your opponents.
In your division, have the mindset that everyone is an equal and a great player. In recreational doubles, you need to first commit to be the first team at net. After that, make the commitment to distinguish yourself by taking control. This will force your opponents play defensively and make errors. In addition–if you’re playing higher level players, taking control of the net first will give yourself a better chance to win the match. If not, you may be the team that just settles for a decent score!
Remember… you don’t have to be a pro to train like a pro!
