Progressive formatting like the I-formation and Australian doubles is not just for advanced players. In fact, recreational players may benefit even more from these tools!
There are 3 major reasons why rec players should implement progressive formatting into their league play:
1. Take the weapon out of your opponent’s side (force them to hit their weaker shot)
2. Force your opponent to hit to your strength
3. Force an error with the element of surprise
An additional tip to progressive formatting is to do it on an important point. Not only will this put additional pressure on your opponents, but you will gain an enormous amount of confidence. Practice in non competitive matches by forcing yourself to do it at least twice in a game.
Remember! You don’t have to be pro to train like a pro. Have Fun!
